On the auspicious occasion of 95th Salgirah Mubarak of our beloved spiritual head, the destiny of our souls Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb(TUS), Shababul Eidiz Zahabi (Ibrahim Mohallah) organized the 6th Burhani Salgirah Trophy 2006. Its Day & Night FINAL match was played on Sunday, 2nd July, 2006 at the Asgher Ali Shah Cricket Stadium between Shabab Tahiri Vs Shabab Hakimi
In 25 overs’ match, Shabab-Hakimi won the toss and gave batting to Shabab-Taheri. They showed superb batting performance, scoring 201 runs for the loss of 04 wickets. Adnan Moiz(61 runs), Taha Tahir(59 runs*) and Baqir Sajjad(48 runs) played magnificently. In return, Shabab-Hakimi, got all out at just 84 runs in 23.3 overs and could not with-stand against the mind blowing, bowling of the Shabab-Taheri! Mustafa Dar got 03 wickets for just 18 runs. Adnan Moiz was declared Man of the Match.
The tournament feature that the Chief Guest Shazada Aali Vaqar Syed Shabbir Bhaisaheb Nooruddin (DM) came to grace the occasion, He watched the match and congratulated the winning Pakistan Team in the ‘Burhani International Trophy’ held in Pune(India). He also stressed that cricket could serve as a platform for India-Pakistan friendship in his statement to media. He encouraged the organizers of the tournament. After the final, a five overs exhibitionery match was played between teams of Ummal-Alfanso (including Behlah Bhaisaheb son-in-law of Shazada Saheb) led by Janab Naeem Bhaisaheb & Shabab-Anveratol, which was won by Shabab-Anveratol by 10 wickets. Alfanso batted first & scored 22 runs for the loss of 05 wickets. In reply Anveratol achieved target in just 1.5 overs!
Later cake ceremony was done and then the Chief Guest Shazada Saheb gave away the trophies and prizes to the players and organizers. Afterwards a lucky draw was done in which 05 gold coins were given away. Janab Shabbirr Bahaisaheb Nomani, Janab Naeem Bhaisaheb, Janab Nooruddin Bhaisaheb and respected Ummals of all mohallahs including Amil Saheb of Ibrahim Mohallah M. Mustafa Bhai Bharmal and other dignitaries and community members were also present at this event as spectators.
